hotel best western hotel am spittelmarkt

In the month of April 2016 I visited Berlin for a week end and decided to stay at this hotel. Wonderful breakfast, wonderful price, wonderful location. We were staying in the second block which was set back from the road and was very quiet (except on one morning where the bins were being emptied and some deliveries being made). Thanks! There's plenty to choose from with breakfasts offering both continental and cereal. Stayed 3 nights Fri, sat & sun via easyjet. go, stay. Almost Everything was okay, location is excellent and serviceable by the subway station less than 2 minutes away on foot. Some problems with the matresses and pillovs. Convenient location (150 meters from U-Bahn Spittelmarkt station), spacious room, comfy bed, good size bathroom with hot shower, kettle to make coffe/tea but no fridge (don't really need when outside was -1 degree). The WiFi worked well. U Bahn just around the corner and easy to get to airport from there just change at Alexanderplatz. Dustman collected the bins around 06.30! We asked for an upgrade and got one for about £30 a night to a junior suite which was far better. After about 3min the hotel is on your right. Rooms are fine clean, big enough ,kettle, good bathroom with powerful shower. Bathroom had a VERY powerful shower well its more powerful than mine anyway, a hairdryer, shaving mirror, normal mirror. Convenient location just 5 minutes from the underground, no fuss check in, friendly efficient reception staff, clean warm room, comfortable bed, just what you need after a full day of sightseeing. Staff argumentative, rude and unhelpful. Spent 2 nights here mid December. Superb coffee shop called Cappuccino across the road. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BW Spittelmarkt! Noise from building works from outside started at 7am in the morning. In accordance with government guidelines to minimize transmission of the coronavirus (COVID-19), this property may request additional documentation from guests to validate identity, travel itinerary, and other relevant info on dates where such guidelines exist. Walking distance from metro is 3-4 mins. On arrival we were met by a receptionist who spoke excellent English and got us checked in with minimum fuss. ), Special diet food available (vegetarian, halal, kosher, etc. I guess they have a problem with it. Great location to explore Berlin. Our room was a good size and as I usually find in most Best Western's, the bed was incredibly comfy. Your question will be published on Booking.com after it's approved and answered. I also found the pillow very uncomfortable and woke up every morning with really bad neck ache. This was not a good experience at all. we have booked 2 rooms for july but now I see that this is an adult only hotel but this wasn't shown when we first booked can you tell me please if 2 x 15 year olds are not welcome. The room was nice. We got quite badly bitten by little insects when the window was left a jar. Its really safe and silent area. Dining area very basic although plenty to choose from. There is a supermarket and patisseries nearby. the rooms are sterile and small but good enough. The room redeemed itself slightly because despite being small and having the wrong beds I had no further complaints. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. There was 5 of us staying at this hotel, 2 people in a double room and 3 people in a 3 person room (1 double bed, 1 single bed) the single bed had its own section of the room out of the way of the double bed, could say it own smaller room. Best Western Hotel am Spittelmarkt takes special requests – add in the next step! Location wise there is a coffee shop over the road which was great for the immediate hangover coffee/sandwich the next morning (the hotel does serve breakfast but does not do lunch/dinner. Promotional content will be removed. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site. When it was there it was sufficient for emails, but facebook was slow and i couldn't view youtube videos etc. Small bar in reception. Pleasant decor. The room and bathroom were very clean and bed comfy! Great stay ?? My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in August. I would visit the hotel again in case i would need a good place just to sleep. It was pretty hot and a bit muggy, but not too bad. Was not clear why I should show the confirmation letter. They have parking places and offer breakfast, but offer at corner of the street is better. One night, we returned home after a night out looking for somewhere to buy a bottle of water or grab a snack and nowhere was open (I'm sure the hotel could have obliged but we didn't want to pay inflated prices so went without). We also went to a Spanish restaurant beside the hotel one of the nights and had the best tapas ever! Receptionists were friendly & efficient. The reception staff were not friendly or helpful and at no time did I feel valued as a guest despite being a loyalty card holder. Clean smart hotel and quality rooms . It's a security issue too. They admitted they were inadequate, but they should live up to their website claims. Lobby was being renovated at the time so we had to sit in the restaurant to wait for Taxi but understandable, hotel staff really friendly and helpful. Only body/handwash is provided in the bathroom , so we were glad that we'd brought our own shampoo/conditioner, body lotion etc . We went to our rooms which whilst being very clean, they were very small with 2 single beds pushed together. The bathroom was small and clean with a shower, sink and toilet no bath. The room was clean & comfortable. Simple and relaxing. The rooms are very nice and quite spacious for the price. The location was great where you reach to all destinations by tube or walking. Very comfortable hotel with excellent location. The reception was quick and efficient and we soon got to our room although we found throughout our 4 day stay that the lift was painfully slow. My 6th floor room was very clean, spacious and modern. Had to go down to reception almost daily to get coffee and sugar sachets. I'd prefer shelds on the bad.Very kind people at the reception. Breakfast was large, but slightly overpriced (in my opinion) so we only ate there once. After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. Shower worked fine. Free internet , however very slow... Management staff needs to cool down and know what customer service means. You can only leave a review within 28 days after check-out. The room was very clean and big enough for 3 people. Clean rooms. The modern rooms at the Best Western Hotel am Spittelmarkt are classically furnished. There are power sockets near the bed and the bathroom was clean and the water pressure excellent. 2 minutes from it. Also hairdryer. Dieses Hotel im Zentrum von Berlin verfügt über geräumige Zimmer und eine zentrale Lage nahe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten von Berlin. Hotel staff are wonderful. Only criticism is that the cleaner was a bit slack - replaced towels we had clearly hung up (as per the sign to leave them hung up if you were happy to reuse) and didn't always replace cups and glasses that were visibly used. The front desk ladies were not that friendly but they speak English. On request, the staff provided great recommendations for dining and transportation requirements. Fantastic breakfast. An ok hotel, the room was a good size, but the beds and pillows were dreadful! Good parking place, and good restaurant near the street . Even if the signal for wifi is not the best in the rooms, this hotel has 5 stars from my side. Easily accessible to transit, and 20 minute walk to Museum Island. The straff was anonymous but helpful when asked. We found the hotel's staff to be fairly friendly and they gave us restaurant recommendations and advice on airport trains. Are you missing any information about this area? The receptionist were not welcoming. The price is good for the area. We were able to access the Uban (underground tram) and Espan (over ground tram) within minutes. I had three terrible nights sleep as just could not get comfortable and was glad to go home to my own bed at the end of the stay! In the room is tea and coffee facilities and a bottle of water. Particularly like the idea of luggage lockers so you can leave them in the hotel on your last day and go back and collect them later. This is not a particularly attractive hotel but the staff are welcoming and helpful. Heating does not work. It was fairly priced for a city center hotel, the rooms were a little small, but very clean ansd serviced daily, however you wont be spending much time there, as there is so much to see and do in this fabulous city. I couldn't get room? The room was comfortable and quiet. Try again. We'll allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. The air con was great. The location is excellent and close to transport and main attractions. You may be able to do better but for the money I think we did OK. This is a very comfortable and quiet hotel.. its only a short walk to the metro station. I was pro-actively reimbursed around 6 or 7 EUR when I checked out as they confessed they had overcharged me. Weniger als 2 km vom Stadtzentrum von Berlin entfernt gelegen, bietet das Best Western Hotel Am Spittelmarkt … Clean and tidy, on the small size and of a basic standard. After a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service. Hotel was easy to travel to from the airport via the express train R7 to Alexanderplatz then onto U2 to Spittlemarkt. Breakfast is served in the basement and had a fairly good selection of hot and cold food. This hotel was very nice. The room was quite small but modern with good furniture and very comfortable beds. This is one of those bland hotels that can be found in any city. Staff are all polite and very helpful, Overall nice clean hotel good showers good size room the only thing to let it down was the barman who took money for my drink they swore he didnt making me pay again both me and my friend whitnesed it so on that basis wont be returning again which is a shame as I often visit the city and thought it was a good base to visit the attractions. There are two bakery/cafes on the way to the metro so its quite convenient. Would definitely return, as it is ideally located near the underground station ‘Spittelmarkt'. Thoroughly recommended and we would definitely stay here again. Booking.com™. Have locker in basement for you to leave cases if you need to on day of departure (or if arrive early). Air conditioner does not work, and front desk is useless. Its close to everything. It barely fits two adults, one infant and one four years old and their luggage. The hotel was very clean, very friendly personnel. It could have been a joke but as two young girls, we felt very uncomfortable. Overall satisfied considering the price. The beds were too soft but its ok for short stays. Twin beds very narrow and shallow mattresses. When I arrived I couldn't check in my luggage because the front desk ran out of coins for the luggage lockers and the front desk woman very rudely told me to leave my things there. Alternatively, the Spittelmarkt Underground station is a 2 minute walk and has ticket machines at either end with an English language option enabling you to buy all kinds of tickets and travel cards. I would stay here again if I couldn't find a cheaper hotel that offered the same standards. The hotel itself was clean and very handily had luggage lockers for one euro if you were arriving before/departing after check in/out. Check in and check out easy. Used the S-Bahn and the U-Bahn to get to the hotel (cost around €4 each). In this hotel this is not even a hipothessi they offer. We were really pleased with our room (409 on the 4th floor). Arrived in Berlin on 27/11 at SXF airport. Booking.com will make efforts to obscure email addresses, phone numbers, websites, social media accounts, and similar details. Booking.com is part of Booking Holdings Inc., the world leader in online travel and related services. Hotel is in quite a good location, near the underground and there's a few small shops nearby. Rooms were nice and always cleaned to a high standard. Would definitely recommend it. when we entered the room, my best friend and I were very impressed, the room was as described and shown in pictures and we were not dissapointed. The bed was two singles pushed together to make a double. The hotel is very clean and tidy, no issues there at all, but it does lack a bit of ambience, for example the bar was literally the end of the reception desk. There is a tv in the room with mailny german channels, there is bbc world news or service i cant remember which, but we did have fun trying answer questions on the german game shows with my limited A level german. Would not stay there again. Very noisy due to the doors on the end of each hallway closing loudly every time someone comes or goes. This hotel in central Berlin provides large rooms with free Wi-Fi internet. Thankfully wasn't a real fire. We stayed in Berlin for 6 days in July. We've sent an email asking for a refund of 2 nights (that we paid for upfront but didn't stay) and they have yet to reply. Convenient position for sightseeing. The staff were polite and efficient. Other than that, the room was nice. We had to ask for an iron to be delivered which did arrive within a few minutes. breakfast is €12 pp so we opted for a lovely cafe down the road for €6 for both of us! Small bar at reception. There is one very nice Tapas across the road but that is it. I was here on a city break. Staff very friendly and informative. They treat the customer like they are 1 star hotel. Hotel is not in an interesting area though it is just a few minutes from the underground. ALso it is close to a supermarket. Excellent 3 star hotel in a quiet area only 15 mins walk from alexanderplatz. The location of the hotel means the hotel is very quiet and within very close proximity to the Spittelmarkt u-bahn making access to Alexanderplatz only about 10 mins away. It could be possible that the booked had been done by other people because maybe I don't how to do online book. All in all a comfortable and pleasant stay. The location was 15 - 45 min walk to most popular attractions. Feeling constricted in this fashion seems odd to me in a modern establishment given we were indeed speaking and not partying or being loud. The hotel itself is a short walk from the UBhan and within minutes takes you into central Berlin to see the sites. However, the staff weren't the most friendly and housekeeping wasn't the best. This commonly included bacon, croissants, cake and some types of cheese and bread rolls. Near Underground, shops, restaurants, monuments. And it was amazing, underground station was 5 mins walk away. I would stay here again. This hotel is close to the underground station, Spittelmark. The hotel area is so quiet! Large bathroom. Cash machine right outside. The rooms were ok in size and while the bathroom was small it was very modern and completely adequate. Hotel staff is very helpful. Still apologizing for what happened, the ladies at the desk told me to buy a new umbrella when at home and send them the receipt. Wi-Fi with small gaps sometimes, but not bad. we never stay at an American hotel, but this was within walking distance of the major sites, with many good cafes and restaurants along the way. Four stars for service. Very handy not having to drag your bags around the city. We have just returned from a 4 night stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Starting April 6, 2020, your chosen cancellation policy will apply, regardless of the coronavirus. The beds are really narrow (not even twin) and very uncomfortable. Perfect for what we needed. The staff are really friendly and helpful and both times I've stayed here they've been great. The only downside would be the boring, somewhat clinical decor; alot of the space in the room was unused. The only surprise was the city tax that needs to be paid directly to the hotel and paid on check in (other hotels we've stayed at usually ask for it on check out). Comfortable Hotel, with everything you might need. It was working only in one corner of the room. This is not the hotels fault at all and as such it hasn't affected my rating. The nights were constantly spent pushing the beds back together as they moved too freely. The hotel is not on a busy road - I would not have thought that any room would suffer from external noise. The hotel provides a Wi-Fi service. This means you can connect up with the Airport Express trains and be at Schonefeld within 40 minutes. But everything was clean, there were two 2'6" beds, TV, desk, kettle, wardrobe, safe, and (very efficient) air conditioning. And I strongly recommend you to choose an other hotel. We were on the 5th floor and the wifi cut out intermittently and was very slow when it was connected. Clean and basic which is all you need for a short break to see the sights. Nearby landmarks such as Kreuzberg (1.3 km) and Friedrichstadt-Palast (1.9 km) make Best Western Hotel Am Spittelmarkt a great place to stay when visiting Berlin. City centre but quiet street. 00 EUR per person per day. There are 2 lifts which is great so you are not hanging around waiting ages. There is coffee shop across from the hotel that is also good. I would not stay any further than this location if you plan to walk everywhere. Despite the outside appearance - a simple and "cold" building - inside it is warm and cosy. Staff were very friendly for the most part. I would recommend this hotel with a budget not to high but the price you pay is OK!!! The reception staff we dealt with were really nice and spoke excellent English. We were only able to connect now and then. Room we got was not as advertised (small, no aircon, barely any space) 2. However, the whole place was clean and well presented. Has only hand/body/shampoo soap in one bottle. Clean rooms, very good breakfast, friendly personal, 24h reception. Because of the terribly bad sleep we will not stay here again. Stayed early December for the Christmas Markets in a triple room. Nice bar which was open quite late in the evening. The Berlin welcome card is worth buying as it saves you up to 50% on most attractions which saved us a huge amount and covers all trams, buses and trains during the time you book it for. You can't grumble too much when the hotel is such great value and so well located, but good wifi is a must in 2015. Beds were uncomfortable 4. Hotel is in quite a quiet location although being very close to the sights. We booked this hotel as it was well placed, a short walk from the 'alexanderplatz' area of the city. I am sure the hotel knew the problem whit our room. Write a full question containing a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 300 characters, and don't share any personal info. I don't know why"  and when we asked about the shuttle bus to the airport. Would have been nice to have a mini fridge for putting some snacks. It was very easy to get around and takes you to some of the further out locations. The tapas restaurant over the road is worth a visit. There is also a tapas restaurant straight across the street and a bakery on the corner where the tube is. the hotel is located to a quiet neighbourhood of east Berlin 15 min walking from Alexanderplatz and Potsdamer Platz and 2 metro station from them . The "bar" is part of reception so not really a place for an evening to relax in, Overall though its a good reasonably priced base. Breakfast was good although no toaster was available to toast bread. This hotel was booked for a two night stay for a city break to Berlin. We travelled from Tegel Airport which took about 30 minutes. Breakfast restaurant across the street to save even more. Check for travel restrictions. Super location. However the biggest let down of the hotel was the bed. We had booked 3 nights last weekend at this hotel. Seen a few people talking about the wifi, to be honest it wasn't great. The other thing about the beds is they are very soft, you will sink into them! Visited Berlin for 5 days and was really pleased with the accommodation. Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and charges may apply. The room was very clean. Room was new and in good shape, not big size, but big enough. When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more. A nice and modern hotel in a very quite neighbourhood. Worth the value. It was in an alright location which was close to stations or about a 10 minute walk into the centre. unfortunately german law prohibites children to travel allone without parents. Can walk to the museum island and Alexanderplatz. The hotel bar is reasonably priced too. We didn't have hotel breakfast. We stayed here for a weekend. The rooms are small, but functional and clean. It was also very close to the Metro station, which made travel around the city very easy. They do serve breakfast, but there are plenty of cafes nearby too. Beds are partly very poor, couldn't sleep very well and got some back pain. No vending machines, no possibilities around, an hungry night... Great location for sight seeing. The price of the rooms can be very cheap if you find them and the breakfast is not very expensive either. Couple of bakeries/coffee shops around, but you'll have to walk further or take metro for decent food offerings. Location is excellent being around the corner from Spittlemarkt U-Bahn on the U2 line a few stops from Alexanderplatz which is a main line station and which has access to Schönefeld airport and other U and S-Bahn lines. It's quite clean but their wifi is horrible,  if you are lucky you can use it but normally it has bad signal. We decided to visit Berlin for the Christmas Markets and found this hotel, mainly down to the location. it seems out of the way but consider just 15-20 minute walk to Alexander platz, Museum Island, Fredrichstrasse, Potdamer Platz & Unter den Linden so is ideal. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Once safely checked in, all the joys of East Berlin are at your fingertips, and within energetic walking distance. However, I'm sure that's only temporary. The Bar is attached to the reception desk and is manned by the same staff as the reception, with a reasonable( not massive) choice of bottled beers wine and spirits. The beds have bed side lights and plug sockets and there was a safe in the room for no extra charge. Hotel Best Western Hotel am Spittelmarkt. There are several places to eat nearby and a supermarket too (far cheaper for breakfast than what the hotel charge) Check in was quick and efficient and the staff were friendly. Very inconvenient. Staff are extremely helpful, and you can get umbrellas and plug adaptors for a deposit. Now, the bad: The room is not very big, actually it is one of the smallest BW family suite I have seen. Absence of refrigerator in the room was a little weird to me. The bathroom was spotless and given that we only used the hotel as a base and were hardly in it, it was satisfactory. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of storage space and a large desk. When out exploring we walked to Alexanderplatz, Check Point Charlie, Museum Island - all are within a 15 minute walk. The customer care responsible from the hotel, took over the case and, e-mail after e-mail started putting together a number of excuses not to reimburse the purchase. The staff at this hotel are superb, friendly, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel has a parking lot, so you better leave the car there. Lovely & clean hotel with comfy beds and amazing bathrooms. Very soft beds/pillows (if that matters to you). Open the windows, started the AC and spray some water in the shower and basin. We were given room 515. The Hotel keeps its quality as always. Then the main door to the building where my room was, broke the following day and never got fixed during our (my husband and my) stay so we had to go down to the basement and walk through staff quarters and back areas and underground entrances to reach our room. And even all the main attractions can be walked from this hotel. Breakfast isn't everything - just plan to eat it somewhere else! The staff offer an attentive, personalized service and are always available to offer any help to guests. I feel that this hotel offers good value and is close to an underground station making getting around easy. the small kiosks in the underground stations looked very good but my favourite would have to be the buffet breakfast at Galeria Kaufhof ( a huge department store in Alexanderplatz) for just 10 euros. On arrival we were given a map to show us where the hotel was and where the nearest underground station and bus stop was. The only drawback in this good value hotel came in the proximity to a building site where noisy work started at 7 a.m in the morning. My friend wasn't able connecting to the hotel's wifi. The breakfast is ok, it's nice and a buffet style so plenty to go around however, it does lack variation. All distances are measured in straight lines. Beds were really comfortable but it gets very hot at night. Landed up checking out after the first night for various reasons. And the most important thing is - 200m from the Spittelmarkt U-Bahn!!! There is construction work going on in the immediate area which did cause some early morning noise, however I won't mark the hotel down for something that is out of their control. As I was doing so, the front desk person informed me that repairs to the internet were being performed at that moment (technicians were performing networking tasks in the front office just then). It has parking, even after he checks out of the hotel. it's a very nice and quiet hotel with any comfort. There are a lot of complaints on here about how hot the rooms are, i did find this but the weather was warm while we were in Berlin and i found all buildings in the city to be overly warm, i am usually the first to be cold too, but there is heating and air conditioning in every room so we just kept it on low air con all the time. Parking available for 20 EU a night. Room is good, no fridge. The hotel staff were friendly and always able to help and guide us with what to do whist in Berlin. – The hotel's breakfast is very nice. The next morning, I booked my remaining night with Titanic, right next door. 3rd Service - we didnt use much room service in the 6 nights we spent , we had our room cleaned 3 times , but the only thing which was terrible , the lady who wants to change the bottle of water daily , she didnt care about the sign DONT DISTURB , she entered the room twice (2 different days ) after knocking although the sign was there ,, and thats a privacy issue , the housekeepers never did it ,, only the lady for the water bottles , I took one star for this .
